500,000 Tons of Metal Cast at West Siberian Electrometallurgical Plant
The West Siberian Electrometallurgical Plant (ZSEMZ) celebrated a major milestone on November 23, 2023, with the casting of its 500,000th ton of metal. More than 20 ZSEMZ employees were awarded certificates of honor for their dedicated service and commitment to their profession.
Since producing its first metal from furnace No. 3 on September 9, 2012, at 9:44 AM, the plant has gone through a very eventful and interesting 11-year journey.
"Back in 2012, we were still learning a lot: mastering modern technologies, organizing and setting up production workflows. We faced both victories and defeats, but all this forged a strong and reliable team, much like the alloys we produce. The 500,000th ton of metal is a pivotal mark, a special moment when you can reflect on the trail that has already been blazed and look ahead, where future endeavors lie. And we have a lot of plans and goals. We have expertly mastered the technology, mastered several alloys. The next stage in the enterprise's development is the launch of a new furnace complex. Metallurgy is a demanding field, but at the same time it possesses a unique beauty and allure. It attracts honest and genuine people. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to our entire team on this momentous occasion and significant production achievement. I wish you all continued good health and further success!," Alexey Sidorov, General Director of ZSEMZ LLC, recalls.
