98% of Students at ProLom Training Center Aspire to Work at SGMK Enterprises
Kuzbass Governor Sergey Tsivilev visited the ProLom educational and production cluster. It was established by SGMK in September 2023 at the V.F. Kuznetsov Novokuznetsk Mining and Transport College as part of the implementation of the federal project "Professionalitet." SGMK has invested more than 120 million rubles in this initiative.
SGMK funded renovations within the center, as well as the acquisition of production equipment, machinery, and software. This enabled the creation of a full-cycle training facility, unparalleled in Russia. Students at the college now learn to work on modern equipment, including a crane-equipped truck, a material handler, industrial shears, and an operational gantry crane model.
During his visit, Sergey Tsivilev, Kuzbass Governor, inspected several of the facility’s sites, including its laboratories. He praised the extensive capabilities of the ProLom cluster, highlighting its focus on providing practical training that closely mirrors real-world industrial settings and its commitment to securing employment for its graduates. Some 98% of the students studying here have already signed targeted contracts with SGMK. These students will participate in internships across SGMK’s production facilities and receive a company scholarship. Upon graduation, they will acquire positions within the company’s enterprises.
The ProLom educational and production cluster also serves as a training center for existing SGMK employees. Three hundred and fourteen individuals have completed the "Crane Manipulator Operator" program via distance learning, with 54 receiving in-person training.
Concluding his visit, Sergey Tsivilev, Kuzbass Governor, spoke with the students, thanked them for choosing blue-collar professions and for their dedication to learning. He also promised to explore the possibility of establishing a vocational education campus at the ProLom educational and production cluster that would foster collaboration, advance the region’s scientific, technical, and cultural development, and enhance the supporting infrastructure.
