The large-scale competition took place in the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, and brought together about 670 youngsters from 16 countries: Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, Myanmar, China, India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Mongolia, Qazaqstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia.
The honor of our country was defended by 31 chess players, five of whom are students of Intellect Academy: they are Vladimir Eliseitsev, Alexander Rybkin, Sergey Belykh, Mark Morozov, and Ekaterina Kraeva.
The youngsters demonstrated a high level of preparation, the strategic thinking, and decision-making skills. Ekaterina Kraeva became a silver medalist in the team blitz event. Sergey Belykh received a bronze medal in the team event among boys under 13 yr. as well. In total, based on the results of three disciplines: standard chess, rapid chess, and blitz, Russian chess players won 20 individual awards (9 gold, 7 silver, 4 bronze) and 17 team awards (7 gold, 4 silver, 6 bronze).

At the Novokuznetsk airport, the students from Intellect Academy were greeted by relatives, supporters, and journalists. This trip once again showed that chess erases boundaries, builds character, and teaches not only how to win but also how to communicate and make friends, despite national and cultural differences.
