Participants in the "Best in Profession" competition visited the "Kuznetsk Fortress" Museum‑Reserve, taking in the panoramas and the character of Novokuznetsk.
The "Kuznetsk Fortress" is the main symbol of the region's founding and its centuries‑long history. The only stone fortress east of the Urals, built on Voznesenskaya Mountain in the early 19th century, revealed the secrets of military history to the finalists and delighted them with panoramic views.
Competition participants visited the key exhibition, studied a model of the fortress, and examined unique historical artifacts in the Chief Officer's House.
"Many of us are in Novokuznetsk for the first time, and this tour will be remembered for a long time. They told us about life in the fortress – including where the garrison got its water and how their routes were laid out. You have a beautiful city," share representatives of TransLom Group (Moscow), participants in the "Best in Profession – Noviy Vtormet Cup 2026" industry competition – Mikhail Lobach, a CMU truck driver, and Mikhail Tikhomirov, a loader operator.
The encounter with this historical landmark will help finalists catch their breath between challenging tasks. The competition is not only intense rivalry at the industrial venue but also a chance to experience the unique character and soul of the Siberian region.
