On September 10, Novokuznetsk will host professional skills competitions among flame‑cutting torch operators. The format is unique – it combines the industry‑specific competition among scrap processing workers, the "Best in Profession – Novy Vtormet Cup 2026," with the federal stage of the All‑Russian Professional Skills Competition "Best in Profession" in the "Flame‑Cutting Torch Operator" category.
Traditionally, the industry competition is organized by the "Pro Lom Union" SRO Association of Scrap Processors. The competition is held with support from SGMK and strategic partner Noviy Vtormet.
This year, eight teams will compete for the main cup – representing Noviy Vtormet, TransLom LLC, UralMetKom LLC, NMZ PJSC, Ashinsky Metallurgical Plant PJSC, and Vtorresurs‑Pererabotka LLC. Honorary guests will include members of an international team from Belarus – Belvtorchermet LLC.
Competitors will demonstrate their high‑level skills across four disciplines: flame‑cutting torch operator, loader operator, truck with a crane‑manipulator unit (CMU) driver, and crane operator. Winners will receive trophies, cash prizes, and commemorative gifts.
