ZSEMZ Employees and Members of SGMK's Ecology and Sustainable Development Directorate Plant Linden and Spruce Saplings in Bardin Square
The reconstruction of Bardin Square was completed this year. The public space was renovated as part of the federal program "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment." Twenty linden and five spruce saplings were planted, replacing emergency trees removed earlier this summer. The West Siberian Electrometallurgical Plant (ZSEMZ) purchased the young trees, continuing its wonderful annual tradition of contributing to the city's green spaces.
"Each of us has made our own contribution and put a piece of ourselves into the restoration of Novokuznetsk's green belt. This holds personal significance for me. For instance, whenever I pass by the Rowan Tree alley in the Kuibyshevsky district that we planted to commemorate ZSEMZ's anniversary, I'm filled with a sense of belonging to an important common cause. It's heartening to see our city become cleaner and more inviting, with families enjoying the alley we helped create. I want there to be more cozy, green places in Novokuznetsk. We can and must preserve the world around us – for our children, for generations to come, and that's precisely what we are doing," Tatyana Romanovskaya, Director for Ecology and Sustainable Development at SGMK, shared.
